Post-Procedure Care for Permanent Makeup Taking proper care of your new permanent makeup is essential for achieving the best results. Here's what you need to do after your appointment: First Two Hours: For the first two hours following your procedure, gently wipe your eyebrows every 30 minutes with the antiseptic solution provided. This helps to keep the area clean and prevent any infection. After this continue wiping and applying ointment every two hours until bed time. Ongoing Care: 1. Apply Ointment: After wiping with the antiseptic solution, apply a thin layer of the ointment included in your aftercare kit. This helps to keep the area moisturized and aids in the healing process. Continue doing this for the next 2-3 days. Wipe your PMU area with antiseptic solution and apply an ointment 3-4 times daily. Feel free to repeat this if you feel dryness and itching. 2. Avoid Water: On the first day, avoid getting your eyebrows wet. From the next morning, you can resume your routine, but treat the freshly done permanent makeup area gently. Do not scratch, scrape, or use harsh cleansing products. Avoid bath, pool, ocean, saunas, and excessive sweating to prevent the pigment from washing out for the first 2-3 weeks. 3. No Makeup: Refrain from applying makeup on the treated area until it is fully healed (10-16 days). This helps prevent irritation and infection. 4. Avoid Sun Exposure: Keep the area out of direct sunlight and avoid tanning beds (3-4 weeks). Sun exposure can affect the healing process and the final color of your permanent makeup. 5. Hands Off: Avoid touching, picking, or scratching the treated area. Let any scabs fall off naturally to prevent scarring and color loss. By following these aftercare instructions, you'll ensure that your permanent makeup heals beautifully and lasts longer.
